In 1999 they sat down with a stack of house plan books looking for the perfect home. Each looked thru books, each narrowing their search down to their dream house without showing the other until both had picked out their favorite plans. When they finally compared their house plans, to their surprise they had both picked out the same house plan in two different books. So in the fall of 1999 they began construction only hiring out the plumbing, cabinets, radiant heating systems and staircase. They moved in upstairs in 2001 and worked another year on the down stairs.
Jeanine's mother, Betty wanted to bring eight of her lady friends over to show off what her daughter and son-in-law had built. So It was decided to have a tea. When Betty's other friends found out they also wanted to join in, so in Jan 2003 Jeanine served her first tea to twenty ladies. Then a few months after that Jeanine had her grandmother and aunts in for tea and the rest is history. |
